hi everyone,
I recently tried out your standalone bluesky-chat app. On Friday Feb, 13 I messaged someone at 2.09PM UTC. And the same day at 10.06PM UTC I received a message request by an identity that I was unable to identify.
Given that every atproto account has a did, a handle, a pfp - the experience of not being able to see who the author of the message was was suboptimal. Im sure there is room for improvement here.
It would be preferrable that an xmtp account tied to an atproto identity should never receive such a message, rather it should show the users username, handle, dispalyname, pfp.
I am assuming that this was spam, and maybe by requiring the above this set of spam could be mitigated entirely.
Another reason why I suspect that this was spam is due to no messages being rendered when I accepted this chat.
(please see first comment, as i can only embed one image per post as a new user)
